Block II
After a long wait i just want to say i was so happy to finally know where we will be placed for our second block. This year is going so fast and i am learning so much while in the classroom! I hope that my second block is as valuable and exciting as my first block. I will be teaching a split class which makes me a bit nervous though. I hope to gain a lot from this experience! I cant wait to get started! Good luck to everyone in advance!

I think teaching a split class will probably be one of the most valuable experiences in teaching. Its great that you will have this experience during a teaching block so you can learn how to work with a split class with the help of your associate. Next year when you apply for jobs, you will feel more comfortable applying for those split class jobs too!

I completely agree. I am also going into a split class (5/6) and am nervous about it, however, I know having this experience will only better prepare me for my teaching career. I know several people who were assigned a combined class in their first year of teaching, so it's a reality. I feel lucky to have the opportunity of teaching a combined class, even though the nerves are getting to me.
Steph - you will have no trouble at all - you are such a kind, genuine person - you're students will just gravitate towards you! GOod luck hun
i think teaching a split class will be a valuable experience and what better place to get a test run at it, then in your teaching block.
